Most modern vehicles use aluminium or copper-core radiators with plastic tanks. Higher engine temperatures required by todays emission standards cause radiators to expand and contract, leading to wear, leaks, and potential engine or transmission damage. Regular cooling system maintenance and clean coolant help prevent blockages and costly repairs. Never mix different coolant types, as this can reduce performance and damage your cooling system. Ralph’s Radiators repairs most aluminium and copper radiators and repairs or replaces brass and plastic radiator tanks. We also stock one of the largest inventories of replacement radiator tanks in The Bahamas.
The radiator must be removed from the vehicle for this procedure. The inlet tank (also called the “top tank”) is separated from the radiator core, and each individual tube is cleaned to remove blockages and restore unrestricted coolant flow throughout the radiator.
The inlet tank is then reinstalled, and the radiator is pressure-tested to ensure there are no leaks. This process restores the radiator to optimal performance.
We repair a wide range of oil coolers used in heavy equipment and for industrial applications.
