Radiator Core Manufacturing

Radiator Core Manufacturing

Many radiators can have the core replaced. This is required when the core is leaking badly, too damaged to be repaired, fins are corroded, or the header plate is cracked or damaged. We have the machinery to manufacture copper and brass radiator cores.

The radiator cores are measured and manufactured to the specifications of our clients. Re-coring uses your old tanks, brackets and transmission oil cooler. Re-coring is quite often a much cheaper option than a new radiator.

MEASURE

HOW TO MEASURE
A RADIATOR CORE

MEASURE A RADIATOR CORE

Core Height:  It is the dimension determined by the length of the tube (from plate to plate). In the image, see reference (A).

Core Width:  It is the dimension determined by measuring between the sides (to the sides of the core). Keep in mind that only the core is measured, not the sides. In the reference image (B).

Core Thickness:  Carefully insert a piece of wire through the core, all the way to the other side of the core, and mark it. Withdraw it slowly, and measure the depth obtained. In the reference image (C).

Header Length:  It is the dimension determined by measuring the length of the plate. In the image, see reference (D).

Header Width:  It is the dimension determined by measuring the sides of the plate. In the reference image (E).
